Artist statement

Primarily from a painting background I discovered an affinity with sculpture, initially this took the form of furniture developing into the small narrative pieces I make now.

My sculptures fit into domestic spaces which is important as I see the home as the gallery.

Working in the Visual Arts has taken me into many areas of the Arts and given me opportunities to work in Community Cultural Development and events management to a number art residencies to concept designer / coordinator of large festival projects.
